Overview: Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Data and Information Standards Support Officer to join a dynamic team within a police force's Digital Policing Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to support compliance with data protection principles and to ensure that force information and personal data are handled in line with legal and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support records management and MOPI functions, ensuring compliance with data protection principles. Assist in the promotion and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure lawful information handling and protect the Force's information. Manage and supervise a team of Data and Information Standards Officers. Provide advice and guidance on records management, retention, disposal, and data protection. Conduct internal reviews and support the delivery of the Data Standards Programme.
Requirements: Proven experience with IT systems, databases, and data analysis. Knowledge of data protection legislation and data quality principles. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work flexibly and effectively in a dynamic environment. Experience in supervising and leading teams.
