Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Data Integration Consultant - EDI based in London to provide subject matter expertise, solution design, change management and delivery for, mainly EDI related, new and existing Ricoh processes. This role will also support these applications to ensure the smooth operation of the end-to-end business processes, working closely with team members, local business process owners, and central business process owners.

Lead the development of scalable EDI solution using real time B2B communication, enhancing vendor and customer interactions. The successful candidate will be expected to work with offshore development teams as well as other IT counterparts in the organisation. Responsible for systems related to this function provide support for in excess of 15,000 users across multiple operating companies throughout EMEA, with transaction volume anticipated to exceed €4 billion in annual sales revenue. Key success will be consistent standards and processes, ongoing benchmarking and cost/benefit realisation, therefore having a significant impact on a business’ smooth operations and ability to provide efficient service to present and potential customers. Although this role will have no direct budget responsibility, you will be responsible for the number, size and complexity of projects, and the budget allocated to each project. As an interface to other Ricoh Family Group (RFG) business units, the focus will be on the sharing of best practice and the planning and deployment of common solutions (e.g. multi-country deployment of a common business process design). Successful candidates will be expected to be engaged in the development process for new releases so that the team can support an expanding solution for the group. You will also work with various integration suppliers such as Pagero for the new and upcoming interchange standards applied to pan European operating companies, which are ever increasing legal mandates. Ideally candidates will be educated to Degree level or hold similar level professional qualification or previous experience in a similar role. Candidates who have studied or have proven experience in Computer Science will be preferred. Preferably candidates will have proven functional experience with technologies such as EDI/Oracle eBusiness/Siebel, and technical and functional experience of EDI related standards, practices and legal compliance. Successful candidates will also ideally have technical experience in EDI related technologies, full knowledge of EDI/XML data structures. Ideal candidates will be accustomed to developing and maintaining EDI & XML structures aligning with industry standards for all EMEA Region adhering to local legal nuisances. Previous functional experience of project management methodologies would be an advantage. Candidates will need to be fluent in English for this role, with any second European language (French, Spanish or German) skills being highly useful but not essential. Preferably candidates will be able to write complex SQL queries, hold an analytical mindset and be an integration Specialist. Ideal candidates will have a proven background in a similar role from a related or similar industry, preferably with solid experience on ERP, database systems and working with EDI related technologies, standards and practices.
