Data Modeller - Business Salary Circa £50,000 National / £60,000 London Data is in everything we do. We are looking for a Data Modeller to join the team in Group Data Architecture and help us enable this vision. A bit about the job: As a data modeller in Group Architecture, you will be a key member of solution delivery teams at Aviva, as well as provide input into the strategic direction of travel in data at Aviva. The role includes: Working closely with business and technical teams to gain insights into how the business operates and the way this can be delivered by IT systems. Delivering data models that inform requirements, design and development of data solutions, working autonomously whilst being an active member of a supportive community of data modellers and architects. Leading or contributing to the production of artefacts that accompany the models, such as glossaries, dictionaries, mapping documents and reference data specifications. Ensuring appropriate handover to engineering and development teams. Maintaining existing persistent documentation on data models. Helping to evolve and mature Aviva’s data modelling capability through developing and following standards and best practices. Nurture a data culture and promote data model usage. Support others to develop their data modelling skills. Skills and experience we’re looking for: Experience in data modelling at the conceptual and logical level, as well as creating glossaries, dictionaries, mapping documents and other artefacts that support the understanding of data concepts and structures. Business analysis skills, in particular requirements elicitation, with the ability to understand and reflect business data requirements in a data model. Strong communication skills with the ability to use different tools, techniques, or communication styles to suit the situation and audience. Experience in assessing current state, analysing, and interpreting existing data and supporting the physical design of data solutions. Experience of how data modelling can enable Data Product strategies and working knowledge of data management best practice. What you’ll get for this role: Salary:

Circa £50,000 National / £60,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s. Generous
