Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture Key Accountabilities: Support our corporate change agenda, reviewing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) to help the business identify and manage data risks. Help the business maintain compliance documentation and ensure the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) is refreshed on an ongoing basis. Work with business areas to create clear data flow diagrams to provide visibility of how personal information flows through our estate. Take ownership of the Data Subject Access Request process and work to ensure timely and compliant completion of requests. Assist in the ongoing development and maturity of our privacy programme, driving initiatives to increase our compliance posture. Play an active role in supporting the wider team to improve their privacy processes and procedures through the implementation of Privacy by Design principles. Be prepared to triage and coordinate time-critical activities to assist in the mitigation of personal data events, providing clear and accurate documentation which may be used for onward reporting to applicable regulators. Work with and collaborate on wider security and compliance initiatives as required to ensure Arqiva’s overall security posture is maintained. Qualifications: Privacy certifications (like CIPP/E, CIPM, and CIPT) are a plus but not required as the candidate will be put through training. Required Expertise: An understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), The Data Protection Act 2018, and the desire to learn. Highly motivated with a can-do, goal-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently with limited direction while working to tight deadlines. Good understanding of how to prioritize personal workload. Excellent and effective communicator, both written and verbal. Robust character, able to constructively manage disagreements to achieve the best output for the business.
