Data Protection Advisor

Data Protection Advisor focuses on supporting the data protection manager in delivering and maintaining the group data protection compliance framework.

What the role involves

• Supporting the Data Protection Manager in delivering and maintaining the group data protection compliance framework.
• Providing clear, practical advice to internal teams on data protection and privacy matters.
• Assisting with data subject rights requests, including access, erasure, objection and restriction.
• Supporting the investigation and documentation of personal data breaches in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Maintaining data protection records, including RoPAs, DPIAs, LIAs and related governance documentation.
• Reviewing and advising on data protection clauses in contracts and supplier arrangements.

Skills and requirements

• Experience in a data protection, privacy, compliance or governance role, either in house or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into business friendly guidance.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
