Overview

Data Protection Advisor Gateshead As our Data Protection Administrator, you will own the relationship with our customers and employees when they contact us to exercise their data protection law rights. In particular, you will support the processing of Subject Access Requests (SARs) and data requests from customers, employees, and third parties, ensuring they are GDPR compliant and are responded to promptly. Responsibilities

Managing the processing of SARs and data requests from our customers, employees, and third parties, and supporting the Privacy Compliance Manager more widely. Liaising and corresponding with data subjects to acknowledge and respond to their data subject rights requests. Liaising with various teams within the business to retrieve personal data. Preparing personal data for sharing with data subjects (including document redaction and the utilising of exemptions available under law - full training will be provided). Ensuring SARs are processed quickly and efficiently and escalating complex cases to the Privacy Compliance Manager, so that they can assist and provide guidance when required. Preparing and maintaining accurate records of the progress and outcome of each request. Support the Privacy Compliance Manager with the investigation and recording of Data Breaches. Providing other ad-hoc support to the Privacy Compliance Manager as required. The Ideal Candidate

Experience working within Data Protection and an understanding of data protection rights is essential. Experience of working in an administrative role. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), an organised and co-ordinated approach, and attention to detail. Ability to prioritise, self-motivate, and work independently. A strong customer focus and experience of working within environments that process personal data. Qualifications
