This team is pivotal in transforming the banking landscape by integrating data protection into Monzo's core culture. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with experts committed to creating a transparent, secure, and forward-thinking banking environment. Providing expert advice and guidance on data privacy, ensuring our fast-growing bank remains compliant and customer-focused Designing and implementing effective data protection frameworks and processes in partnership with our product teams Overseeing data subject rights processes while handling and advising on data protection breaches Nurturing a culture of data protection across Monzo by delivering tailored training sessions Collaborating closely with our DPO, senior management, and key stakeholders to maintain a unified approach in managing data protection responsibilities You have experience navigating privacy challenges in fast-growing companies, either internally or as a consultant Demonstrate solid knowledge of UK GDPR through professional qualifications or experience Possess a keen understanding of risk management and governance practices Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy sharing knowledge across teams Are a proactive problem solver, capable of leading end-to-end projects to deliver tangible improvements Hold a data protection or privacy certification like CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, or ISEB (highly desirable) What’s in it for you This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London) We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team £1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences We will set you up to work from home; all employees are given Macbooks and for fully remote workers we will provide extra support for your work-from-home setup The application journey has 3 key steps 30 minute Recruiter call 30 minute Initial call with the Hiring Manager 2 hours of technical and behavioural interviews This process should take around 2-3 weeks - your schedule is really important to us, so we promise to be as flexible as possible!
