Data Quality Assurance Team Leader NHS AfC: Band 5 Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Team Leader as part of the Data Assurance Team for Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will possess good communication and team leadership skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines. You will need to be organised, diligent and have patient care as your primary concern. You must have exceptional attention to detail and should have an understanding of patient pathways and previous experience on the Trusts current EPR system, HIVE powered by Epic. You will need to have experience in working with large sets of data and be confident in the use of Microsoft Excel. You should have an excellent understanding of RTT pathway rules as well as awareness and understanding of other NHS national performance targets and access rules.
This role would be an excellent stepping stone for those who seek progression into management.
Main duties of the job
This post will lead a team of Data Quality Assurance Clerks working to accurately validate pathways on Hive. The post holder will support staff to ensure that accurate, timely and complete data is recorded on Trust systems.
This role will focus on improving data quality at source, supporting staff within the team to understand data quality errors.
To support the Data Assurance Service Manager in establishing routine procedures which enable monitoring of team output, and to ensure that all work is of a consistent and high standard.

Person specification Qualifications
Higher National Certificate / Diploma or equivalent or relevant experience
Evidence of Personal Development
Higher National Certificate / Diploma or equivalent qualification in an IT related subject
Experience / Knowledge
Understanding of Data Quality issues in the NHS
Knowledge of computer applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
Patient related NHS administrative experience
Ability to use IT systems
Knowledge of commissioning datasets
