Job Description

The Data Science Senior Manager will manage and lead data innovations in support of the Visa Consulting & Analytics team and our external partners. This role involves close collaboration with various Visa departments and clients to understand their requirements and create data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and refinement of new solution ideas for a diverse range of clients. Participate in the prioritization of new solution development in collaboration with key stakeholders. Develop proof of value, including business case simulation. Collaborate with clusters for solution testing. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions. Lead the technical product management for hardening cluster-based solutions. Develop business and technical requirements for the Data Engineering and Solutions team. Ensure the quality and accuracy of data science outputs. Help in the development of collateral to enable cluster sales. Collaborate with data product sales specialists and consultants in client engagement. Play a key role in the commercialization of data by identifying potential markets, developing go-to-market strategies, and driving sales efforts.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Proven experience in a role in data science. Strong experience with data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Experience with payments data is highly desirable. Excellent client-facing and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Fluency in English.
