www.ktponline.org.uk THE PROJECT The University of Essex, in partnership with Climbing Trees Ltd, offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate with the relevant skills and knowledge to develop a unique model, using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques, to create a daily visual performance dashboard derived from numerous datasets, to enable an ethical marketing agency to optimise the online performance of their clients. This post is fixed term for 23 months and is based at Climbing Trees' offices in Earls Colne (Essex). DUTIES OF THE POST The duties of the post will include: Gathering, processing and labelling data from numerous online platforms Developing numerous algorithms and models as needed Working with Climbing Trees staff and University of Essex academics to develop a visual performance dashboard suitable to needs Ensuring cyber security and adhering to GDPR Establishing SOPs for agile project management to develop AI tools Developing a suitable new product development process for the performance Dashboard Working in a small but committed team to understand current datasets, data storage and processes Working iteratively, in response to client and staff feedback Acting as project lead, to progress the project and ensure milestones are met to a timely manner. Embedding technology, training and upskilling company staff. Participating in academic and/or industrial conferences and other events, to disseminate and present research outcomes to the wider community. These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances. KEY REQUIREMENTS MSc in Data Science, Computer Science or similar. Experience of a full stack development or similar role. Knowledge or experience in online marketing. Experience of working in small team. Experience of directly dealing with clients and good relationship building skills. Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving skills. Being able to work in a fast-moving environment, listening to feedback and working collaboratively. It is essential that the Associate adopts Climbing Trees' ethically minded approach and supports the focus on an ethical, curious, caring and client focused approach. Good programming skills. Familiarity with both front-end and back-end languages and libraries (for example, Python and JavaScript). Knowledge of databases. An understanding of cyber security and GDPR. Knowledge about software security (security by design). Knowledge about the implementation of basic privacy and authentication techniques in Python. Excellent written and spoken English. Project and budget management skills. Ability to write technical documentation/academic papers.
