My client is a Lancaster-based company looking for a new Lead Data Scientist to begin work on a world-leading project.
If you have a scientific degree or equivalent experience and are passionate about tackling the pressing challenges of climate change, then this role could be for you.
This position is ideal for someone with previous experience working as part of a research group.
Key Skills Needed:
Python Previous analysis of Satellite Data experience Postgraduate/MSc or PhD Previous Scientific research group experience
General Duties:
Develop and implement Python-based tools for advanced satellite data analysis and visualisation. Contribute to scientific research focused on the impacts of climate change in Polar regions. Work closely with members of the CPOM Polar Research group across the UK to support code development and integrate prototype algorithms into the broader CPOM processing ecosystem. Undertake analysis, testing, and validation of new satellite datasets and products, including those from future satellite missions as they become operational. Participate and present at relevant project meetings, including those with the European Space Agency.
