The Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong analytics engineering experience to join our team at Let’s Do This. This role will be within our Social product team, a team focused on helping participants see what events their friends are doing and inspiring more participation through social connections. You will work closely with product, engineering, and design to develop this nascent product and drive maximum impact. To begin with, the role will require a significant amount of focus on improving data models and pipelines, ensuring the underlying data is reliable, scalable, and easy to work with for analytical purposes. Over time, this role will balance between analytics engineering and more advanced data science and analytics work.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modelling Improvement:

Lead the effort to transform our data models and clean up legacy structures to ensure high-quality data for analysis.

Data Analysis Enablement:

Develop reliable datasets and tables that empower the product team to conduct self-serve analysis.

Advanced Analytics:

Apply statistical analysis, cohort analysis, and user behavior modeling to generate insights that help grow the social side of our product.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the Product Manager, Product Designer, and Software Engineers to understand their data needs and ensure the data infrastructure supports strategic decision-making.

About You

Excited to work in a

fast-paced, impact-driven

product team.

Strong experience with

SQL , a scripting language such as

Python , and modern data tools such as

Snowflake

and

dbt .

Desirable: Experience with the wider data stack, such as

data ingestion pipelines

and

data quality frameworks .

Experience in building

data models

that scale with company growth and ensure analytical reliability.

Experienced enough to feel empowered to make

big structural changes

to our data models and infrastructure.

Ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a strong focus on

communication and collaboration .

A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, focusing on

impact over perfection .

Experience working self-sufficiently in a cross-functional product team.

Desirable:

Experience working in a

startup

environment on a

consumer product , preferably an app.
