What's the role:

We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to drive actionable insights across CAVU's diverse operations, including Trading, Customer & Travel Product Development, Hospitality, and Digital Marketing.

You'll design and implement cutting-edge analytical capabilities while working closely with data science peers, the wider technology team, and key business stakeholders. In an environment shaped by acquisitions, migrations, and rapid change, you'll play a critical role in optimising processes and solutions through innovative data strategies.

Core Responsibilities

Collaboration:

Partner with Trading, Finance, Marketing, and Customer teams to address their data needs, providing actionable insights that drive business decisions. Collaborate with the broader technology team, including data engineering and governance specialists. Project Delivery:

Contribute to end-to-end delivery of data science projects, prioritizing tasks based on business impact. Ensure timely and high-quality outputs. Data Modelling & Analysis:

Conduct advanced data analysis, build predictive models, and refine algorithms to uncover trends and patterns that optimize business processes. Communication & Reporting:

Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs. Present findings in a clear, actionable manner to stakeholders across various teams. Data Strategy:

Help shape CAVU's data strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage data and AI solutions to drive innovation and improve business performance. About You:

To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills:

Data Expertise:

Proficient in Python and SQL for accessing, analysing, and interpreting large datasets. Experience working with data engineers to optimize workflows. Statistical and Machine Learning Knowledge : Strong foundation in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques, with practical application experience. Model Development:

Hands-on experience with Gradient Boosting Machines (GBMs), Neural Networks, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Familiarity with ML Flow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Amazon Sagemaker. Agile Workstyle:

Comfortable working in Agile or Kanban frameworks, with experience using Jira and Confluence to manage projects. Effective Communicator : Able to distill complex data methodologies for diverse audiences and build consensus across teams. Innovative Mindset:

Interest in applying AI to solve real-world business challenges and drive innovation. Attention to Detail : Meticulous approach to data quality and reporting. What's in it for you?
