We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with a robust background in data engineering. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing and delivering Big Data solutions on the Azure platform. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of data cataloguing, modelling, warehousing, analytics, and governance principles. Must-Have Skills and Experience: Deep knowledge and significant experience in delivering Big Data architecture and design solutions, specifically Azure Experience with data cataloguing, modelling, warehousing, and analytics. Proven understanding of security and governance Familiarity with Well-Architected frameworks, security principles, and Agile/Waterfall project lifecycles. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Design and implementation experience with at least three of the following: Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, IoT Hub, Azure ML Studio, Azure Data Lake Gen2 Desirable Skills: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate and/ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or other relevant certifications Proficiency in Spark, SQL, Python, and Azure DevOps. Experience with IoT design architecture. Master Data Management design experience. Relevant architecture and cloud-related qualifications (e.g., TOGAF). Nice to have Skills/ Advantageous: Strong understanding of or experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD (ADO) and cloud services (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS). Working and recent experience of Microsoft Purview Experience with Azure Machine Learning or AI Engineering Current experience in Azure Databricks, with an up-to-date working knowledge of latest Databricks specific features like DLT & Unity Catalog Proficiency or working knowledge of Power BI
