Role : Data Solutions Developer (18 month Fixed Term Contract) Salary : £40-£45k Location : Motherwell (hybrid) Are you passionate about delivering robust data solutions that drive business success? Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is looking for a Data Solutions Developer to transform business requirements into powerful, data-driven solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, applying your technical expertise to design, implement, and support reporting solutions using platforms like Qlik Sense or Power BI. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate requirements and recommend technical design solutions. • Design and implement robust data models using the Qlik associative data model. • Develop and deploy ETL scripts to integrate and transform data from multiple sources. • Ensure thorough unit testing and create test case plans in collaboration with end-users. • Document solutions, execute knowledge transfer, and provide ongoing support for developed applications. • Monitor and meet KPIs for assigned projects and products. • Promote security compliance, following IT governance and best practices. Skills and Qualities You’ll Bring • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of an organization. • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team, both virtually and in person. • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a results-driven and self-motivated mindset. • Solid numeracy and data analysis capabilities. • Ability to manage changing priorities and deliver solutions in a fluid, fast-paced environment. • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering robust, high-quality solutions. • Willingness to take ownership of issues, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring progress. Experience and Qualifications • A degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Experience in writing and debugging SQL queries. • Familiarity with a data analytics platform (such as Qlik Sense or Power BI) is preferred. • Experience in database design, data transformation, and ETL processes. • Proven track record in planning, developing, and deploying IT systems or solutions. • Experience working in a customer-focused IT environment.
