About the Role: In this newly created role, reporting to the Head of IT, you'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the company's data warehouse. Responsibilities: Design and implement data models and schemas. Build and optimise ETL processes for seamless data integration from various sources. Develop efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation. Oversee data warehouse build, deployment, and maintenance. Ensure high data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing techniques. Implement best practices for data ingestion and transformation. Optimise database performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure efficiency. Collaborate with business analysts, IT, and development teams to align on data requirements and system integration. Support ad hoc requests and maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows and processes. Provide support for data-related inquiries from end-users and ensure system availability. Experience required: Proven experience in data warehousing, modelling, and database design. Proficient in SQL (SSMS) and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, SAS DI, Informatica, Talend). Experience with data warehouse platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake). Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Strong understanding of DBMS and data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema). Scripting skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Shell). Experience with cloud-based data warehouses.
