Location
Remote, with occasional site visits as needed. We adopted a remote model during the pandemic, which has been successful. Some desk space may be available in London soon, and monthly in-person meetings are held in London, which you would be required to attend.

Responsibilities
- Support the Testing team in implementing QA processes and methods
- Maintain and monitor databases to ensure efficiency and prevent data loss
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime
- Design and implement database structures and schemas to meet business needs
- Create and manage backup and recovery plans
- Oversee database security to prevent unauthorized access and breaches
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to enhance performance
- Provide technical support on database-related issues
- Coordinate database upgrades and migrations as needed
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations
Required Skills and Experience
- 5-7 years in database administration or a related field
- Experience with MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, MSSMS, and Azure Data Factory
- Expertise in database performance monitoring and tuning
- Knowledge of backup, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning
- Understanding of data security best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
- Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Desirable but Not Required
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)
