Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and further develop our existing Microsoft Azure cloud instance. The role involves overseeing SQL database management, developing APIs to facilitate seamless data integration with our client's data warehouse, and ensuring optimal performance and security of cloud resources.

The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Azure and SQL while also benefiting from familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform to enhance application development and data analytics capabilities.

They will need to work closely with our client, our Account Global, Regional teams across all service lines, and the CBRE platform specialists.

Responsibilities Develop, test & deploy APIs within Azure to facilitate the feed of data to our client's data warehouse.

APIs must integrate with existing cloud resources and databases. Ensuring API security, documenting API endpoints and their usage.

Optimize performance and cloud security of the Azure instance.

Ensuring compliance with CBRE cloud security policies. Using your knowledge of the latest Azure features and trends, ensure best practices are followed.

In conjunction with the Snr Data Analyst, administer and monitor all Azure services and functions, including management of our Azure SQL database.

Optimizing database performance; perfecting queries and indexes to ensure high availability and efficiency. Ensuring all database objects adhere to established naming conventions and standards, as well as ensuring table designs and structures are optimized for performance and scalability. Maintaining accurate documentation of database architectures, configurations, and procedures.

Optimize and perfect our automated data ingestion solution using Azure Data Factory to cleanse, transform and normalize data.

Includes the use of Microsoft Power Automate for the transfer of data between environments.

Support our Low Code No Code Engineer with the integration and use of Azure Services with Microsoft Power Apps.

Training, guidance, and best practise solutions to be provided. Tailoring the existing SQL database to support the hosting of LCNC apps and optimizing app performance.

Collaborate with our BI Analyst and provide technical support in the development of data visualisations and dashboards that integrate with our Azure SQL database.

Understand data requirements and develop new ingestions to the database for additional data sources where required. Ensuring data quality and integrity during data ingestion and transformation processes.
