37.5 hours per week (Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:15 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM) Salary:

Up to £37,000 + shift allowance of £7,400 for 70x 12.3-hour shifts (including days and nights)

Responsibilities As a Day Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out essential electrical maintenance and operational tasks within a power station at RAF Fylingdales.

Key responsibilities include: Routine maintenance and fault finding on natural gas-fuelled and diesel-fuelled generators, as well as ancillary equipment. Operating and maintaining Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA monitoring systems, and portable electrical appliances. Working with HV and LV distribution switchgear and battery systems. Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Essential Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in an electrical maintenance role, ideally within power generation or heavy engineering. Wiring Regulations qualification to BS7671 (C&G 2382-18), 18th Edition. Ability to read and interpret schematic wiring diagrams. Strong IT skills for system monitoring and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications: C&G 2391 in Inspections and Testing. Experience in MOD, construction, or property maintenance environments.

Additional Requirements: Must live within an hour of the site for emergency responses. A valid driver’s license is required. Must be a British citizen and able to obtain SC Clearance.

Day-to-Day Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting electrical maintenance tasks, operating and maintaining various systems and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
