About Corporate Advisory Services Our Corporate Advisory Services team at BDO Christchurch is a unique blend of both Deal Advisory and Business Restructuring, offering opportunities to engage in diverse projects and responsibilities. Our Deal Advisory team is dedicated to helping clients navigate various transactions and achieve their strategic goals.

About the role This exciting role is primarily Deal Advisory focused, with the opportunity to also work across business recovery and insolvency and offers a challenging and rewarding career through access to a broad range of clients and industry sectors. As part of our Deal Advisory team, you will be involved in evaluating and advising on a range of interesting and challenging projects.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Partners who are the national leaders in their area, providing strong guidance and leadership.

Responsibilities will include engagement and client management, financial analysis and reporting key matters relating to: Due Diligence (buy and sell); Share and Business valuations; Financial modelling; Merger and acquisitions; Litigation support; Investigating accountant reviews; Equity raising and debt financing; IFRS valuation and impairment reviews.

About You To be successful in this role we are seeking applicants who, ideally, are CA or CFA qualified with three or more years work experience in a Corporate Finance / Deal Advisory, Insolvency and Turnaround, Audit or BAS role.

You will possess strong financial analysis skills and be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Your ability to succinctly explain complex information in reports and excellent written communication will be fully utilised along with your confident verbal skills.

The ability to work collaboratively within a close team and well-developed interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite.

You will also be able to demonstrate your interest in business and commercial issues with a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
