Degree Apprentice Project Management Integrated Location:

Towcester

What you’ll be doing:

This is a five-year scheme. Through five annual work placements, you will learn and demonstrate skills required to successfully manage our complex projects and programmes, including:

Communication

Schedule management

Budgeting and cost control

Stakeholder management

Risk management

Project governance

Working in Project Management means you will be the eyes and ears of a given project, ensuring it is delivered on time, to cost, and of the required quality. You will gain a broad view across the project and be able to demonstrate the elements needed to make it a success. This depends on understanding the big picture, recognizing the key issues, making effective decisions, and driving actions to their conclusion. The Integrated Degree apprenticeship in Project Management will develop and test all of these skills.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

What qualification will you get? Attending college one day each week at an external academic provider’s facilities, you will not only study the Degree Apprenticeship but also for an Honours degree in Project Management. In addition, you will also gain the APMPMQ qualification from the Association of Project Management.

You will study at the University of Cumbria, also attending Portsmouth and occasionally Lancaster, once a week during term time.

Benefits As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers:

Employee share plans

An extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing & lifestyle benefits

A green car scheme

Private health plans

Shopping discounts

You may also be eligible for an annual incentive.

Qualification Requirements 5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths & English & a minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 points old system), or equivalent (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level).
