About the Role As the Apprenticeship Data and Compliance Manager at Queen Mary, University of London, you'll lead initiatives to enhance apprenticeship data quality, integrity and usability across the apprenticeship provision. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll develop and manage ESFA and Ofsted data requirements, prioritise improvements, and establish automated data quality reporting systems (using the SMART Assessor LMS system) to drive better decision-making and operational efficiency. You will ensure that data and claims records are accurately maintained and submitted in a timely manner, meeting ESFA requirements, including the validation and accuracy of all PDSAT and FRM reports and resolving any D-Lock errors. A thorough working knowledge and experience in the production and submission of the ILR return, including data collection, data quality, ILR coding and production of the final file, is essential. About You You will have significant and up-to-date operational experience in managing ESFA data returns in accordance with the funding rules, as well as demonstrable experience of improving compliance across the provision. Excellent management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others are crucial. As this role covers both ESFA, Ofsted and other regulatory returns, you will need to establish effective working relationships with a range of internal and external key stakeholders and maintain up-to-date knowledge of any changes to the ESFA funding rules. Please note, there is a minimum requirement of 3 days a week working onsite at department W, Mile End. About the Department The Degree Apprenticeship Office (DAO) supports the Faculties and Schools in using apprenticeship data and information to drive improved performance and decision making. We aim to support apprenticeship planning activities and provide internal and external customers and employers with reliable and timely management information. In addition, we offer a range of work-life balance and family-friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, and campus facilities including an on-site nursery at the Mile End campus. Queen Mary’s commitment to our diverse and inclusive community is embedded in our appointments processes. Reasonable adjustments will be made at each stage of the recruitment process for any candidate with a disability. We are open to considering applications from candidates wishing to work flexibly.
