Our core values are Excellence, Integrity, Partnership and Inclusivity. What will you be doing? Argus produces commercial conferences for the energy and commodities markets. We specialise in agriculture, chemicals, crude oil, energy transition, fertilizers, generation fuels, LPG, metals, and oil products. Argus has dedicated conference teams in Houston, London, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, and Singapore, running a global portfolio of 40+ events. Working as a key member of the conference team, you will develop databases for conferences identifying the most appropriate contacts and telephoning them to sell delegate places. You will conduct research and liaise internally with Argus staff to identify the people and organisations that should be attending the conference and contact them to ensure their attendance. The key to success is developing an understanding of the commodity sector to tailor your approach to meet the needs of customers and build strong relationships. Key Responsibilities Phone prospective delegates to sell conference passes Achieve and aim to exceed sales targets Achieve and aim to exceed daily KPI’s on the telephone – connected calls, proposals, call time Keep sales pipelines in our CRM up to date for reporting purposes Report and forecast business accurately on a weekly and monthly basis Assist with delegate enquiries and upsell other conferences or seminars where appropriate Assist on-site when needed Liaise with the Editorial team to maintain current knowledge of Argus products Skills and Experience Proven delegate sales experience Demonstrated motivation to build a career in sales A strong track record of achieving successful results Educated to degree level Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to network Customer focus with the ability to build credibility and rapport over the phone and in person Able to use initiative as well as work as part of a team Strong coordination and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets Strong IT skills Ability to make a high volume of outbound calls Attention to detail Attributes Highly motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to thrive in a results-driven environment Aptitude to develop understanding across the technically challenging energy industry What’s in it for you Our rapidly growing, award-winning business offers a dynamic environment for talented, entrepreneurial professionals to achieve results and grow their careers.
