Markel Corporation London, United Kingdom The Delegated Authority Management team at Markel are seeking a Delegated Authority Analyst to join the team. The role involves supporting the Delegated Authority Manager and Senior Delegated Authority Analyst in conducting due diligence reviews of coverholders and managing post-bind activities. The analyst will work closely with the Due Diligence team to ensure unified delegated authority processes and provide support for the Service Company Arrangements globally. Key responsibilities include reviewing line slip, consortium, and master policy arrangements, supporting the coverholder audit team, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.

Who we are: The Governance & Delegated team at Markel International are responsible for the 1st controls of our International Delegated Authority in respect of underwriting across all divisions and delegated claims covering our Wholesale, State National Global, Global Re and Global Specialty Divisions. In addition, we provide assurance from a Product and Underwriting Governance perspective for Wholesale and State National Global divisions. What you'll be doing: Support the Delegated Authority Manager and Senior Delegated Authority Analyst by undertaking due diligence reviews of coverholders, dealing with referrals from the business whilst complying with all internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Ensure any post-bind activities are undertaken efficiently and effectively. Align and work closely with other members of the team to ensure that delegated authority due diligence covering delegated underwriting and claims is unified, undertaking delegated claims on-boarding activities where directed. Support the Delegated Authority Manager and Senior Delegated Authority Analyst with the on-going management of the Service Company Arrangements globally. Review line slip, consortium and master policy arrangements as required. Provide insight and support to the coverholder audit team. Work closely with the Governance team to ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to and evidenced. Liaise with the Underwriting Support Delegated data entry team to ensure that all bordereaux on coverholder business is of good quality and is received regularly. Prepare information for the Delegated groups/committees or other groups as needed. Deputise for the Senior Delegated Authority Analyst or other senior team members as required.

Key Skills: Previous experience of working in Delegated Authority due diligence would be advantageous. Good understanding of Lloyd's and delegated authority requirements. Familiarity and experience of Slips. Good and effective communicator - open, honest, and respectful. Ability to deliver work on time to set deadlines. Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Effective stakeholder management skills.
