Imperial Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a large manufacturer in Newton Aycliffe who are looking to appoint a Demand Planner on an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of going permanent after 6 months.
Duties:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a portfolio of FMCG products based on historical data, market trends and business insights. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Collaborate with sales, marketing and wider supply chain teams to incorporate promotions, product launches and seasonal variations into the demand plan. Analyse the sales data, trends and customer behaviour to best inform the demand plan and improve forecast accuracy over time. Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the business, providing insights into demand trends and ensuring alignment between supply chain and sales. Track forecast accuracy and other key metrics, identifying opportunities to improve forecast reliability and inventory efficiency. Identify potential demand risks and collaboratively develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions or unexpected shifts in demand. Driving efficiencies in order patterns to improve service level and logistics performance, through collaboration with sales colleagues and customers.
Requirements: Demand planning experience, ideally in an FMCG environment. Strong working knowledge of supply chain and demand planning processes. Happy with an initial 6 month contract.
