The Role:

As a Demand Planning Analyst in our Central Functions Supply Chain team, you will be crucial to Greencore’s success by ensuring our supply chain is guided by accurate and insightful demand forecasts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts that drive our production, inventory, and supply planning processes, helping Greencore maintain our commitment to timely, cost-effective delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine demand forecasts, using historical data, market trends, and customer insights to optimise supply chain performance.
  • Utilise data from multiple sources to predict customer demand accurately and ensure the supply chain is prepared to meet business needs.
  • Work closely with commercial, operations, and supply planning teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives, communicate forecast updates, and address any gaps or risks.
  • Support efficient inventory control by providing insights and recommendations based on demand forecasting, ensuring a balance between stock availability and minimisation of excess inventory.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance demand planning processes, tools, and systems, striving to improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.


What We’re Looking for:

  • Proven experience in a demand planning or supply chain role, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable plans.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with an aptitude for building productive relationships across teams and functions.
  • A proactive mindset, committed to continuous improvement and high standards of accuracy.
