The Dementia Team have an opportunity for a Dementia Associate Practitioner position. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work alongside the Dementia Team within Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust, both in Winchester and Basingstoke Hospital. The individual must have previous demonstrable experience of Dementia Care within a care setting. They must have excellent communication skills and be dynamic in their approach in delivering person centred care to patients living with Dementia and supporting their family and carers. This is an exciting new opportunity for a hybrid position where you would also provide admin support for the Dementia Team and assist the Admiral Nurse Service in providing carer's support to our relatives/loved ones of individuals living with dementia as well as providing comprehensive administrative services to the Admiral Nurses to optimise their time to enable them to fulfil the clinical element of their role. The post holder will also be required to provide secretarial and administrative service to optimise the time of the designated Managers by coordinating all diary commitments. The post holder will be expected to have an in-depth specialist knowledge of the team/service/division and the ability to provide detailed advice and information to whoever requests it. The role will require constant awareness of the work and key priorities of the service, dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters. Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who can: Provide administrative support for relevant members of staff to enable the efficient running of the Admiral Nurses including: Roster and staff support, Organisation of staff training, and audit input. Have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and have a professional telephone manner. Possess pre-existing knowledge and experience in carers support and Dementia related care within both community and acute hospital settings. Training & Qualifications

Level 4 NVQ or equivalent Senior administration training or relevant experience Recognised computer literacy course (e.g. ECDL) or equivalent experience Project management training/qualification Planning and Organisation

Experience as a Management Assistant Experience of providing secretarial support to meetings (including formal minute writing, preparation of agenda etc) Working within the NHS Skills & Ability

Planning and organisational skills Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workload in a challenging and demanding environment Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbally, electronically and in writing) Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Disclosure and Barring Service Check
