In this role, you will be a key contributor and professional. You will identify the dental hygiene treatment plan according to individual patients' needs, ensuring that patient oral health is the focus. The office is a blend of old and new, creating a unique environment where patients can feel at ease, knowing they’re in a place that values both their comfort and their health. Responsibilities: Ensure the highest standards of patient care for the best outcomes. Use best practices for infection control while processing instruments and treatment rooms. Conduct medical health history screenings and updates. Perform baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening). Take radiographs and impressions (as prescribed by the Dentist), and intraoral photos. Identify conditions and oral diseases such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis. Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instructions, plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions as required. Identify gaps in the clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as booking preventive recall appointments and following up with outstanding treatment plans. Collaborate with colleagues during downtime in the schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Dentists, and Administration). Attend continuing education events as needed. Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene. Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO. Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail.
