You will be supported to develop skills to deliver the main duty of the post in providing emergency dental care for adult and child patients. You will enjoy the professional support of highly qualified and experienced colleagues, working within well-equipped modern dental clinics and other healthcare facilities.
Main duties of the job
The main role of the Dental Officer is to provide routine dental care to patients referred to, or accessing the Dental Service. Responsibilities of the role include: Providing dental care to patients with specific requirements using behavioural techniques, conscious sedation or general anaesthesia if within competencies. Providing emergency and urgent care identified through the Dental Direct triage process. Liaising with a range of social and other health care personnel and agencies to ensure the effective management of and delivery of care to patients with specific requirements. Involved with the delivery of a domiciliary dental service to patients who may require such service. Delivering care, as required, in a variety of locations within the defined localities of Allerdale and Copeland. About us
