Overview Due to expansion, we are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to provide additional support to our reception team in a busy NHS dental practice in the centre of Fareham. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation of the front desk and contributing to a welcoming environment for all visitors. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments and maintain an organised calendar for the dental team. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Process patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times. Assist with billing and insurance claims, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly. Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and readily available. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the practice. Skills Proven experience in an administrative or office role, preferably within a healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer service. Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in using office software and dental management systems. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. A team player who can also work independently when required.
