The Practice Manager Employment Duties: Maintaining quality assurance for clinic practices and patient records in compliance with the CQC. Facilitate the daily operations of the Dental Clinic by coordinating patient care and treatments. Act as a liaison between clinical and non-clinical team. Book appointments and take payments accurately. Communicate to patients in a kind and compassionate manner. Key Tasks / Responsibilities: Full training provided although experience in the dental environment would be an advantage. Work along reception team and dental nurses/clinicians. Complete Audits and admin logs; check completion on a daily basis. Complete ‘end of day’ cashing up and rectify any discrepancies. Assist the Practice Manager to reduce and eliminate any bad debt, which may include chasing patients and reinstating finance plans. See patient refunds through to completion and update SOE as needed, adding to a spreadsheet and sending to the practice manager at the end of each month. Follow practice policies and procedures. Follow industry guidelines, policies and procedures set by the relevant governing bodies in Dentistry. Liaise with the Practice Manager on all matters concerning finance, administration, pay and service conditions. Ensure customer services is provided to all patients and to the highest standard. Be flexible with your duties to ensure the smooth running of the Practice, and take ownership of your tasks to ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Have a positive and approachable demeanour. Assist the Practice Manager with admin tasks and work together to think of ideas to reach the practice goals. Full diary management over all clinicians and ensuring all appointments are booked correctly. Double check consents and treatment plans are signed and sent for all patients. Knowledge / Experience: To succeed in this role, candidates should have reception experience, ideally in the dental environment. Full training is offered to someone eager and motivated. Helping and training new members of the reception team along with managing their own workload. Administration skills - training provided; however, knowledge of Microsoft and Excel is beneficial.
