Regional Clinical Director (RCD)

to lead, motivate, and develop our clinical teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Opportunity:

As a

Dental Regional Clinical Director , you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and guiding a team of Clinical Leads (CLs) across your designated region, which may include one of four geographic areas:

Northeast (Newcastle) Durham to North Yorkshire South Yorkshire and North Midlands Midlands and Colchester

Overseeing up to 20 sites, you’ll inspire your team to achieve clinical excellence while developing a positive, patient-first culture. Your leadership will drive engagement, development, and clinical performance, helping Clinical Leads to realise their full potential and positively impact the wider Riverdale team.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Development & Motivation: Lead Clinical Leads with a focus on growth, engagement, and development. Encourage and support Clinical Leads in fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment that prioritizes patient care. Culture Building: Champion a positive workplace culture aligned with Riverdale’s values. Motivate your teams to cultivate a warm, welcoming environment for patients and staff alike, where innovation and collaboration thrive. Clinical Excellence: Guide Clinical Leads to maintain the highest standards of clinical care. Provide resources and mentorship to ensure practices are safe, efficient, and in line with compliance and patient service expectations. Regular Site Visits: Conduct periodic visits to meet with Clinical Leads, Practice Managers, and their teams. Assess and support each practice’s performance, addressing any needs and celebrating successes along the way. Collaborate with Operations: Work closely with the Area Manager for your patch, meeting regularly to align on clinical and business strategies. Together, identify and pursue development opportunities that promote continuous improvement and revenue growth. Resource Access: Ensure teams are well-equipped for success by providing access to Riverdale’s resources, including the Riverdale Academy and other professional development tools. Recruitment & Retention: Support the recruitment team in identifying and retaining skilled clinical talent. Help onboard new team members and create a welcoming environment that enhances job satisfaction. Direct Communication with CCO: Maintain consistent communication with the Chief Clinical Officer, providing updates, insights, and ensuring alignment with Riverdale’s clinical and business objectives.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of clinical dental experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Fully qualified dentist with GDC registration and NHS performer number Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, develop talent, and drive a positive, collaborative culture Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Flexibility in workdays preferred Willingness to travel within your designated region
