Optimus Plus are now looking for a Department Head - Structural to join their team in Aberdeen on a full-time employee basis. About The Role The Department Head Structural is required to own the competence and capability of the structural discipline team; the process of design and engineering, whilst providing full accountability for the smooth running and engineering delivery of discipline. As the Department Head - Structural, you will: Business Development Support company BD efforts both directly by maintaining good structural client relations and as part of our multi-discipline team Provide discipline input to CTR preparation and M_D tender Support company marketing efforts and maintaining company reputation Management of Work Contract focal point for our Structural Integrity contract Maintain quality and competence standards Allocate work and monitor progress PEER review and approval of deliverables Support recruitment and staff development Commercial Manage discipline project budgets via time writing system Manage commercial change via our variation procedure Report to management discipline commercial performance Support finance department with discipline billing and client liaison Salary : Competitive Salary depending on knowledge and experience plus a range of benefits that support your finances, wellbeing, and family. About You Qualifications BSc in relevant Engineering Discipline Chartered Engineering Status (Preferred) Competence Standards Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking/Approval Understanding of all Engineering disciplines Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards Understand the application of Autodesk Design products Competent in the use of MS Office applications Experience in managing and developing others Excellent written and spoken English Personal attributes Go the extra mile Empower our people Never get complacent Engage our partners Step up and deliver If this sounds like you, then you could be a perfect fit.
