Key Responsibilities
To carry out repairs and maintenance to a high standard on a variety of On Track Machines operated by Colas Rail to ensure that the on-site reliability and safety is maintained in line with Colas Rail ROGS regulations. To provide additional technical and practical support to fitter/operators during in-Depot machine maintenance. When required to assist in any maintenance activities on Track Plant away from the Home depot. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Team Leader. Person Specification
To be able to work a shift pattern that will include nights and weekends. Ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures when carrying out maintenance works. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work safely and under own initiative without supervision. Ability to understand technical drawings and maintenance schedules. Physically fit and have passed the required company medical. Flexible, honest and reliable. Have an extensive knowledge and in-date competencies on a wide range of On Track Machines. Possess a structured methodical approach to problem solving. Demonstrate the ability to work equally as well as an individual or as part of a team. Have served any approved and appropriate apprenticeship either internal or external may be advantageous. Willingness to continue personal development through training. What We Offer
