Depot Manager
to work based at their depot in
Barnsley . For the successful Depot Manager our client is offering: £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum DOE 45-hour contract, Monday to Friday, 6 am - 3 pm Permanent position Chance to join a rapidly expanding company Free Parking The role - Depot Manager: Responsible for the day-to-day running and organisation of a fleet of trade waste/hook lift collection vehicles and the operation of the transfer facility ensuring continuity and day-to-day running of all operations on the site. Ensure that the site is operated in accordance with the site environmental permit, current legislation, and regulatory compliance. Financial P&L responsibility, monitoring staff performance, booking and organization plant / HGV maintenance and inspections, and reactive vehicle maintenance in response to breakdowns. Ensure daily continuity of staffing, plant, HGV's and equipment to maintain the uninterrupted operation of the facility and service to our trade waste customers. Ensuring that the site is operated in accordance with legislation, regulatory compliance, operational best practice and all tasks undertaken adhere to site rules. What our client is looking for in a Depot Manager: Previous experience in a similar role within the Waste Management Industry -
ESSENTIAL Must possess a good understanding of cost control and P&L experience. COTC/WAMITAB to Level 4 is required (or must be prepared to work towards certification) -
ESSENTIAL Full driving licence and flexibility to travel for meetings/training/site visits is a pre-requisite -
ESSENTIAL Flexible approach to working hours to suit business needs when required. Key skills or similar Job titles:
