As a Depot Technician at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team responsible for the smooth running and operation of the train. In this role, you will execute running maintenance, fault-finding, rectification, overhauls and refurbishment projects, maintaining accurate records of work performed in accordance with management systems and specifications. Primary Responsibilities Include: Carrying out maintenance of the train’s plant and equipment as directed. Acting as a Travelling Technician if required, carrying out train preparation and disposal, fuelling and watering, etc, and when possible, rectifying any faults arising. Providing relief at other sites as required. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Following environmental regulations and taking measures to minimise our environmental impact. Requirements What You Bring: Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK. At least 5 years’ experience maintaining and/or overhauling railway vehicles, ideally with Mk1, Mk3 or other coach type experience. A good general education, literate and numerate, able to communicate effectively with in-house artisans, contractors, on-train staff and those of Network Rail, train operators and other companies. Craft trained through a recognised electrical and mechanical apprenticeship.
