The school is looking to appoint a Deputy/Aspiring SENDCo to supplement our vibrant and busy Learning Development Department, who is keen to develop in the field of SEND and who will take responsibility for coordinating our many interventions, as well as other responsibilities as directed by the SENDCo. There is a wide range of specialist staff who work at Coombe Girls’ School to support young people’s needs, meaning that the opportunities for someone seeking to develop their knowledge and skill base within SEND is great. It is not essential that applicants have lots of formal SEND training as we will support the right person to develop their knowledge and skill within this area - what is essential is the willingness to embrace your own professional development and ambition to progress. We are willing to consider teachers early in their career who are excellent classroom practitioners with a passion for SEND who would develop into the role.
