The Deputy Care Manager is responsible for ensuring that clients receive outstanding care and for supporting the growth of the business. This role involves working alongside the Care Manager to action incoming messages, update care processes, and ensure all tasks are completed by the end of the day. Additionally, the Deputy Care Manager provides guidance and support to others, ensuring that Care Professionals deliver the highest quality service to clients. Responsibilities

Supporting the Care Manager and Assistant Care Managers with day-to-day management of Client care. Covering the Care Manager role in their absence. Completion of Service Reviews and Quality Assurance checks, identifying ways to grow the Business. Helping with Client acquisition and initial Client set up. Developing good working relationships with Health and Social Care Professionals and others. Onboarding Clients and being responsible for Clients with complex care needs. Supporting Care Professionals to be confident in their visits. Provide quality introductions of Care Professionals to Clients, guiding others on best practice. Support with medication, moving and handling, support visits with Care Professionals with a training need identifying. Completing new care plans with the Client and their family and be proficient with detailing in the Care Management system. To be able to accurately complete care plan amendments as required. To be able to add and check medications within the Care Management System and help Care Professionals be confident with medication support. Provide care for Clients as required. Being part of the On-Call Rota and providing additional support to the team when dealing with on call. Answer telephone calls in a polite professional manner, actioning and clearing messages where appropriate. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Key Players, Care Professionals, Clients, Client families and any other Home Instead contacts. Have a thorough understanding of and belief in the Home Instead business model. Maintain and uphold company standards and ethos. Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery. Responsible for managing the Team Dashboard. Support with business projects and initiatives. Being a face of the business and increasing potential business growth through networking. Person Specification

Positive role model. Warm, friendly, cheerful personality who enjoys speaking to people. Able to demonstrate dedication and ownership to complete allocated work tasks. Team leader / supervisor/ manager experience (minimum 2 years). Good clear telephone manner. Ability to write Care Plans to a high standard, ability to ensure medications are checked and completed within the system. Empathetic and approachable. Excellent commercial Business awareness. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills. Ability to cope with a fast-changing environment. Keen to learn new skills and progress career. Self-driven and committed to completing tasks in a timely manner. Goal Orientated. Ability to handle demanding situations or personalities in a professional caring manner. Smart, professional appearance. Can do attitude. Qualifications

Must have clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). Driving licence and use of a car on a daily basis. Must be confident to use a variety of technology. Must understand the importance of confidentiality and working within current legislation. Must be a team player. Additional Information

The Deputy Manager works 5 out of 7 days on a rota system which will include some weekend work.
