Main duties and responsibilities:
Work with the manager to offer a professional, flexible service.
Supervise and lead a team of support workers to enable service users to lead fulfilling lives.
Act as a role model for staff to understand the people they support.
Offer regular supervision to all staff.
Engage actively with service users and staff to seek opportunities for improvements.
Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities.
Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting confidentiality.
Maintain accurate notes and records as required.
Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care.
Personal Characteristics:
Diploma in Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one.
Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
Ability to keep calm under pressure.
Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
Desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
