Are you an experienced Senior or Deputy in residential childcare, looking for your next career step? We are seeking a committed and dynamic Deputy Manager to join our client in Abergavenny. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people, while advancing your career in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with relevant regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop the staff team, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents. Oversee the implementation and review of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to the individual needs of each child. Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in childcare and safeguarding. Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of care and support for the children. Liaise with external agencies, professionals, and families to promote the welfare and development of the children. Requirements: A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent. Experience working in a children's home as a Senior or Deputy Manager. Strong leadership and communication skills. Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements. Ability to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins. Salary and Benefits: Competitive Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum with additional earnings from sleep-ins. Career Development: Opportunities for further career progression within the organisation.
