Job summary This post is fixed term / secondment for 12 months until 31/01/2026 due to Secondment Cover. The opportunity has arisen to join the clinical site management team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The site management team are a forward-thinking, proactive and enthusiastic team. The role is varied and interesting and includes bed management, providing clinical advice, professional issues, and site management in general. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer care skills, interacting with patients, relatives, and members of the multi-disciplinary team as a key role. Evidence of problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and an understanding of patient flow is essential. As this role will include patient movement, candidates will be working in the clinical environment as part of their role and therefore will need to adhere to Health board policies & procedures relevant to clinical staff. We will provide full support to the appointed candidate. Main duties of the job To ensure the co-ordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges for all patients across acute services. Ensure prioritisation of emergency admissions via Emergency Department to maintain 4hr Access Standard is achieved and maintained in line with national protocols. Ensure safe repatriation of patients from other hospitals and overseas, following agreed protocols in line with Trust. Ensure critical care stepdown patients are transferred from level 2/3 care in line with agreed protocols and targets. Provide clear focus for clinical leadership and to provide clinical and professional advice and guidance to staff. Promote and facilitate the implementation of Trust Core Values and be accountable for the co-ordination of care, use of resources, and performance of the team. Ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
