We are looking for an experienced Nurse to work within the Nursing and Quality ICB Safeguarding Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist safeguarding expertise integrated across all ages. The Deputy Designated Nurse will support the team in ensuring that comprehensive and robust arrangements are in place for safeguarding in all commissioned services, including Health Providers, Primary, Community, and Independent care. Main Duties of the Job

Reporting to the Designated Nurse for Safeguarding, the post holder will assist and where delegated, lead and support all activities necessary to ensure that organisations within the health community meet their responsibilities to safeguard and protect children, young people, and adults. This includes: Deputising for the Designated Nurse in relevant partnerships and committees. Producing and presenting high-quality reports to boards and committees. Providing safeguarding health advice to statutory and voluntary agencies. Assisting in implementing national guidelines and recommendations. Ensuring effective communication and liaison within the service and with partner agencies. Person Specification

Qualifications

Professional Clinical Qualification (current UK registration) Evidence of ongoing training and development First level degree in health or related subject Relevant master's degree or equivalent qualification or experience Experience

Experience of the safeguarding agenda for both children and adults for a minimum of two years. Experience of managing safeguarding issues and understanding of safeguarding processes. Evidence of delivering training packages across organisations. Skills, Knowledge and Competencies

Knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to safeguarding. Experience in writing IMRs and reports. Understanding of Clinical Governance and risk management. Please Note:
