An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated finance professional to join the Finance team supporting the Family Services, Neurosciences and Specialist Surgery Care Groups at NHS Humber Health Partnership. The finance team's purpose is to provide high-quality, forward-thinking support to the Care Groups. You will support the Finance Manager, Head of Finance and the Senior Head of Finance, in providing a comprehensive finance service to the Care Groups. The Deputy Finance Manager is responsible for providing professional financial advice to Care Group Triumvirates, Directors, Divisional Managers and Clinicians where appropriate, operating across both HUTH and NLaG. Working with the Care Group/Services and Divisional triumvirates to assist their understanding of the financial position and support how we continue to deliver high standards of care in a sustainable way. Producing and presenting detailed, accurate information in a range of formats to finance and non-finance staff; generating discussion to assist in improvements to financial or business management; including assisting with activity and unit costing analysis. Work with the clinical and management teams to advise and support reviews of the cost savings program whilst evaluating and influencing their outcomes. Monitoring progress of cost savings and alerting of any potential risks of non-achievement. Provide appropriate advice on the interpretation of financial information, following appropriate accounting principles, investigating complex financial enquiries, analysing invoices, to ensure the trust is reporting a true and fair view of the financial position. Responsible for maintaining, improving and analysing risk of current accounting systems and processes and ensuring these are adhered to; including trading account processes and assisting with pass-through reconciliations.
