The Deputy General Manager will thrive on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities. You are drawn to satisfaction from managing, training and supporting your team. You will support your team in providing a professional food service across Restaurant Operation & Conference and Banqueting ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met. What you'll be doing:

You will have passion, energy, focus and determination. Someone that naturally enjoys exceeding expectations and takes pride in everything that you do. You will have knowledge and the ability to plan, lead, and deliver high class hospitality events, ranging from Wedding Events to our busy retail outlets. Working closely with the General Manager and management team, you will develop a clear communication process that builds a solid relationship and partnership between the client and Restaurant Associates. Manage a team of 20 full time employees and a bank of casual employees. Manage and support the team to deliver an excellent catering service through great food and excellent customer service. Responsible for supporting the delivery of food innovation. You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including overseeing all training. Effective and robust control of budgets and costs. Pro-actively drive innovation in order to push the service forward. Coach, mentor and develop the existing teams’ knowledge and skills, building resilience and supporting succession planning. Who you are:

As the Deputy General Manager, you will ideally have a successful background in Food Service. You see and treat your current location as your own business, using your entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving and successful working environment. You will have the experience and skill to organise and deliver all aspects of high level hospitality - including initial client contact, costing of the event, and organising the team to deliver a first class service. You possess excellent management and communication skills, have a good understanding of report writing and financial management, and be able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving. You will have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service and be financially and commercially astute. About Us
