set to open in 2025. This state-of-the-art property will combine Marriott's global reputation for service excellence with the vibrant energy of Sheffield. Featuring modern guest rooms, a stylish bar and restaurant, and exceptional meeting spaces, this hotel is set to become a hub for business and leisure travellers alike. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role supporting the General Manager in the pre-opening phase and daily operations of this flagship property. Key responsibilities: Act as the hotel's operational leader, ensuring all departments run seamlessly and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Support the General Manager in pre-opening activities, including recruitment, operational setup, and brand standard implementation. Take ownership of daily operations, including front-of-house, housekeeping, and F&B, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Work closely with department heads to maintain consistent quality and align team goals with the overall business strategy. Monitor operational performance, addressing areas of improvement and celebrating successes. Be the go-to leader for team members, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities. Proactively manage guest feedback, ensuring quick resolution of any issues to maintain high guest satisfaction scores. Assist in the preparation of operational budgets and ensure cost controls are adhered to across the hotel. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and community partners. Deputize for the General Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the hotel's operations and decision-making. About You: Proven experience in a senior operational role, such as Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Deputy General Manager, ideally within a branded hotel. Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop a team. Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, with hands-on experience in key departments such as front office and F&B. A guest-first mindset with a proven ability to manage and resolve feedback effectively. Strong commercial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, from senior management to local community partners. Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and a willingness to take on new challenges. Familiarity with Marriott systems and standards is advantageous but not essential.
