£5,000 Tronc Badger and Co has been established on Castle Street in the heart of the new town, mainly serving Badgers Burrow of cocktails and small plates inspired by being the home of Author Kenneth Grahame who wrote Wind in the Willows. Through 2025, Badger will start a new chapter and is creating the pathway to being a food-led concept and allowing the restaurant to take centre stage. The aspiration here is to be a Rosette Standard Restaurant. This development is in its infancy and requires a Deputy General Manager who can help bring our ideas to life along with our in-post General Manager. Concepts could include tasting menus as well as showcasing fabulous wines. Badger and Co is a 42 cover restaurant with a private dining area as well as a courtyard that welcomes a mixture of locals, tourists, and corporate groups. We are looking to appoint a creative and driven Deputy General Manager, who will bring this to life. Duties include Supporting the General Manager in:
Management and leadership of the venue teams, working closely with the General Manager Maintain profitability through revenue generation and effective cost controls Recruit and build a team of superstars Train and drive the team members to deliver top-tier customer service Required Skills
Two years minimum of experience as a Restaurant Manager or Deputy General Manager Extensive food knowledge Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Critical thinker and problem solver Good financial management skills A Plus
WSET level 2 or 3 in Wines Knowledge of Procure Wizard and Access A love of Wind in the Willows Benefits
