As a Deputy General Manager, you’ll keep the hotel running like clockwork and lead your team to ensure our guests have an incredible experience with us. You’ll be working alongside the General Manager to oversee operations, ensure every stay is extra special and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests’ expectations. We’re looking for someone with exceptional people skills, who is great at getting the best out of their team and has experience in a similar role in the luxury or Lifestyle hotel market ideally within London. Key responsibilities of the Deputy General Manager: Set guest satisfaction targets and ensure these are met, using guests’ feedback and surveys. Lead from the front and get stuck in – you’re the face of the hotel operation! Lead and inspire the Operational Heads of departments. Mentor team members in your hotel, who are undertaking in-house Learning & Development programmes in support of their careers. Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for your team. Host weekly operations meetings to discuss events and groups. Keep the team up to date about departmental, hotel and company activities through daily communications including financial feedback and customer feedback. Work with the Financial Controller/Accounts Manager and General Manager to produce an annual finance budget, control costs to deliver positive results. Actively participate in the Revenue Management process to ensure outperformance of the market against the hotel's competitive set. Proactively encourage development and motivation for self and others. Work with the Sales Team in identifying, communicating and supporting all sales leads. Work with the Marketing Team on Social Media engagement activities; proactively driving marketing and social media initiatives amongst the wider team to increase sales and overall customer engagement. Management of the safety policy and fire register. Ensure maintenance of the building is of a high standard at all times. Promote and participate in employee engagement activities to create a positive working environment and promote a Diverse & Inclusive culture. Take day to day control of all Operational Departments, leading by example with a hands-on approach. Work with the Management Team to set realistic and achievable departmental targets to drive revenue and achieve Company KPIs. Lead the appraisal process with Managers and ensure PDP plans are active and lived. Drive and nurture adaptability in a changing business environment; encourage proactive problem solving.
