Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for customer excellence, ensuring that our kitchen, front of house, and function room operate smoothly and efficiently. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and overseeing food preparation processes. Duties Manage the daily operations of the outlet, including Front of House, Kitchen, and Functions. Supervise staff across the operation, identify training needs as appropriate, and ensure that best practices are achieved. Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards, and that all relevant food standards are maintained to meet EHO standards and maintain our food hygiene rating. Oversee all functions within our function room, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained and that all buffets and food are delivered within agreed timescales. Create staff rotas within agreed budgets and ensure that staffing levels are within agreed parameters. Lead by example and be a positive role model for all staff with a hands-on approach. Train and mentor new staff members in all areas of the business and ensure that company standards are maintained across the business. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth. Monitor all staff attendance and punctuality, ensuring that any professional conversations are documented. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or culinary sector. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Experience in a food environment is highly desirable. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of hospitality management. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and management. You must demonstrate

that you are experienced in planning and organising a busy community pub. You must demonstrate

that you are able to operate within budgets while driving the business forward and increasing sales, both wet and dry.
