Collaborate with the Head of Education and Learning to develop and oversee innovative, specialised projects within the education domain, including EOTAS provision and future projects like Further Education curriculum. Quality-manage the development and delivery of education and skills lessons and programs according to established procedures. Assist the Leadership Team in the development of high-quality schemes of work mapped to curriculum outcomes, tailored to the target audience. Contribute to the creation of progression pathways, including accreditation and outcome recording. Facilitate teaching and provide supervision and guidance to teaching staff, including those responsible for Equine relevant pathways. Participate in the development and execution of the Education and Skills strategy, including the qualification framework and other relevant development strategies in collaboration with curriculum providers.
Teaching and Learning Excellence:
Promote and uphold a culture of high-quality teaching practices, incorporating evidence-based approaches and best practices. Ensure the delivery of a well-structured, coherent, and engaging curriculum across all subjects and educational phases. Facilitate continuous professional development for teaching and support staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Monitor and evaluate teaching effectiveness based on evidence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Resource Management and Governance:
Collaborate with the Head of Education and Learning to manage education budgets efficiently to ensure sustainability of programs. Liaise with governing and advisory boards as appropriate, contributing to meetings and report preparation. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and statutory obligations. Cultivate productive relationships with external educational institutions and organisations to enhance learning opportunities for all students.
Data Analysis and Intervention:
Lead data analysis initiatives, focusing on the performance of disadvantaged student groups, such as those eligible for pupil premium, students with special educational needs, and English language learners. Develop and implement targeted interventions for students requiring additional support or experiencing challenges in their progress. Provide comprehensive training and support for staff members in effective assessment practices.
Leadership and Staff Development:
Manage, mentor, and engage employees within your sphere of responsibility. Collaborate effectively with the wider organisational team, promoting open communication and engagement. Ensure employees receive thorough induction, training, appraisal, and opportunities for career progression following Elysian policies.
Administrative and Reporting Duties:
Collaborate with administrative and financial staff and systems to ensure smooth project operation and quality. Complete necessary administration for partner agencies and produce accurate ad hoc reports as required. Ensure the maintenance of third-party agreements, service level agreements, risk assessments, lesson files, and session plans. Contribute to monthly reports, quarterly statistics, traffic lights, and development plans. Play a role in the Self-Assessment process and work toward agreed-upon objectives for your team and the organisation.
