Position We have a great opportunity to join the education team at HMP Berwyn as a Deputy Head of Learning & Skills, offered on a permanent basis, full-time working 37 hours per week. What the Role Entails As directed by the Head of Learning and Skills, the post-holder will be required to effectively plan and manage the deployment of staff and resources, in line with agreed policies and procedures, and to deliver a high-quality learning experience. The post-holder will also be required to deputise for the Head of Learning and Skills in their absence, ensure the implementation of the quality assurance framework, and ensure the safeguarding of learners. What We Need From You In order to be successful in the role, you will need: Experience of implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures Successful partnership working Hold a minimum level 3 in a relevant, subject-specific area Degree or equivalent (including equivalent life/career experience) TAQA Internal Verifier award / V1 or equivalent desirable but not essential Level 4 or equivalent subject specialism or vocational qualification desirable but not essential Ideally, you will want to be a part of a team who has at its core a focus on improving lives and enabling and equipping learners to develop, grow, and be equipped for a life of work and success. You'll be a self-starter with a passion to learn and grow yourself and will bring passion, dedication, and positivity to your new role.
